How Many Liters Can A Semi-trailer's Fuel Tank Hold?

Apr 02, 2026

The fuel tank capacity of a semi-trailer varies depending on the model. Taking Shaanxi Automobile's semi-trailers as an example, their fuel tank capacity is approximately 300 liters. A vehicle's fuel tank capacity is affected by various factors, including model, engine displacement, and fuel consumption. Typically, small cars have fuel tank capacities between 35-45 liters, while medium-sized cars have between 55-75 liters. A full tank typically allows these vehicles to travel approximately 500 kilometers. It's worth noting that the larger the fuel tank capacity, the longer the driving range usually ranges from 400-600 kilometers.

Furthermore, it's important to understand that international standards use liters (L) to measure vehicle fuel tank capacity. Although different countries have their own standards for fuel tank capacity, typically specifying 95% of the tank's rated value, the actual capacity often exceeds this nominal value. Moreover, actual mileage is also affected by road conditions, driving habits, and temperature, and therefore may fluctuate.
