FAW JH6 610HP 6×4 heavy-duty tractor is FAW Jiefang's flagship high-horsepower model developed for overseas long-haul and cross-border heavy transport, widely popular in Central Asia, Africa and Southeast Asia for container, bulk goods, steel and mineral transportation on plateau and mountain roads, featuring strong power, reliable quality, comfortable driving experience, low operation cost and flexible configurations to satisfy local certification and road requirements of different countries.

Engine Performance

It runs on the Weichai WP14T610E62 inline 6-cylinder turbo intercooled diesel engine. With a displacement of 13.54L, it puts out 610 HP and hits a peak torque of 2750 N·m between 900 and 1400 rpm. There's an integrated engine compression brake to assist braking on downhill sections. It only needs an oil service every 100,000 km and handles dust well, so it works reliably in hot, high-altitude and dusty sites.

Transmission System

Power goes through a FAST 16-speed gearbox - 16 forward, 2 reverse gears, rated for up to 2800 N·m input torque. You can pick manual MT or automatic AMT. A hydraulic retarder is optional, great for long downhill runs to stop brakes from overheating and fading. It comes with a Φ430 mm single dry clutch, keeping torque transfer steady even under heavy loads.

Rear Axle Configuration

It comes with the 457 heavy-duty single reduction rear axle. Inter-axle and wheel differential locks are fitted as standard, helping the truck get unstuck on slippery or muddy ground. This is a 6×4 rear drive tractor. Its chassis frame is built with high-strength welded steel and gets a double anti-corrosion coating. The updated 435 welded rear axle delivers good efficiency and needs less frequent maintenance. Engineers trimmed weight carefully, so the tare weight sits at roughly 8.8 tons, and it can pull up to 40 tons of trailer load. It runs on 12R22.5 heavy-duty radial tyres, plus a big 1000L fuel tank - perfect for long hauls, meaning you won't need to stop for fuel so often.

Comprehensive Safety Configuration

Active safety systems come as standard, including ABS, traction control and hydraulic retarder for stable downhill braking and reduced service brake wear. Four-way surround cameras, tyre pressure monitoring and optional lane departure warning improve observation and risk prevention. The cab adopts four-point air suspension structure and impact-resistant reinforced frame, which can absorb vibration and offer better crash protection. Disc brake options are available for clients with higher braking requirements.

Spacious High-Roof Flat-Floor Cab & Driver Comfort

It is a high-roof double-berth flat-floor cab, bringing ample interior moving space. The interior is well-equipped with widened sleeper, adjustable air suspension seat, independent parking air conditioner, parking heater, refrigerator, small foldable table and inverter. The four-point air suspension greatly filters road bumps on mountain and rough roads. LED headlamps, electric rearview mirrors and a 10-inch central control screen further upgrade driving convenience for drivers staying overnight on the road.
