Construction machinery is widely used in national defense construction, transportation infrastructure, energy industry construction and production, mining and other raw material industry construction and production, agriculture, forestry and water conservancy construction, industrial and civil construction, urban construction, and environmental protection.
Construction machinery is an important component of the equipment manufacturing industry. In general terms, construction machinery refers to the mechanical equipment necessary for comprehensive mechanized construction projects, including earthwork construction, road construction and maintenance, mobile lifting and loading operations, and various building projects.
It is mainly used in national defense construction, transportation infrastructure, energy industry construction and production, mining and other raw material industry construction and production, agriculture, forestry and water conservancy construction, industrial and civil construction, urban construction, and environmental protection.
The terminology for this industry is largely similar worldwide. In the United States and the United Kingdom, it is called construction machinery and equipment; in Germany, construction machinery and devices; in Russia, construction and road building machinery; and in Japan, construction machinery. In China, some products are also called construction machinery, but the machinery system has been collectively referred to as construction machinery since the State Council approved the establishment of this industry, a term that has remained consistent. While the product scope defined for this industry is roughly the same in most countries, China's construction machinery industry has expanded to include railway line construction machinery, forklifts and industrial handling vehicles, decoration machinery, elevators, and pneumatic tools compared to other countries.
