Regular and comprehensive inspections and maintenance of tractor units are crucial for ensuring their safe operation. Neglecting daily checks of critical components can lead to safety hazards; for example, a fuel tank leak could cause a multi-vehicle rear-end collision.
Single Axle Tractor Mount Inspection
During the first-level maintenance, inspect all components of the tractor mount, paying particular attention to the wear of the traction pin, traction pin plate, and semi-cross shaft, and lubricate these parts; tighten the support bolts, replacing them if necessary; adjust the clearance between the locking hook and the traction pin using the adjusting screw, and then tighten it with the nut.
When disassembling and inspecting the traction seat, carefully check for cracks and severe wear. If cracks or severe wear cause deformation or excessive thinness, replace the seat. Inspect the locking hole; use the traction pin for fit testing. If wear exceeds limits, resulting in a large clearance, repair by welding and machining to the required dimensions, or by replacing the locking hook, locking block, and wear ring. Check the fit clearance between the support and the body; if loose, replace the rubber elastic bushing. Inspect the locking mechanism; engagement and disengagement should be smooth and crisp, and the safety device should be secure and reliable. If any abnormalities are found, check the locking hook spring and the numbered handle spring. Inspect the safety mechanism; if the spring elasticity is weakened, replace it.
Dual-Axis Traction Seat Inspection
In addition to performing the same inspection and maintenance items as for single-axle traction seats, the following points should be noted for dual-axle traction seats:
Inspect the integral horizontal and vertical shafts. If deformation or severe wear is found, weld them to the required dimensions, repair or replace them with new parts to ensure the traction seat can swing flexibly laterally and longitudinally, and that the fit clearance meets the standards.
Inspect the lateral swing angle and the buffer devices on both sides. If the lateral swing angle is too large, adjust it using the wedge blocks on both sides. Replace any worn-out buffer springs or rubber blocks.
