Classification of Engineering Machinery

May 14, 2026

Developmental Design: Applying mature design experience or feasible new technologies to design new types of engineering machinery, mainly including functional design and mechanical design.

Upgradeable Design: Updating and improving existing engineering machinery designs based on usage experience and technological developments to improve performance, reduce manufacturing costs, or decrease operating expenses.

Derivative Design: Modifying or adding to existing engineering machinery to adapt to new needs, thereby developing derivative products that differ from the standard model.

Serial Design: Using a single type of engineering machinery as a base, designing a series of products with the same function and similar appearance, but differing in power, tonnage, and size.
